Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how ReciPin (the "App") handles user information. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

The App handles the following information in order to provide its features.

Account Information

Email address (when you sign up with email, or sign in with Apple / Google)
Name (when provided through Sign in with Apple / Google)
User identifier (an internal ID used to manage your account)

The App can also be used anonymously without signing in. When used anonymously, we do not collect your email address or name.

Content You Create

Content you enter, such as recipes, ingredients, steps, and categories
Images and screenshots you attach to recipes

Purchase Information

Your purchase, renewal, and cancellation history for the subscription (ReciPin Premium)
Whether your subscription is active, and its expiration date
An identifier used to manage your purchases

We never collect or store payment details such as credit card numbers. All payments are processed by Apple (the App Store).

Usage Data (Analytics)

In-app interaction events (such as screen views and feature usage)
Device type, OS version, app version, language, and approximate location (country/region level estimated from IP address)
A device-level identifier (used for analytics; not linked to your account)

This usage data is not used for advertising purposes or shared with third parties for their own use. See "5. Analytics and Tracking" for details.

2. How We Use Information

Providing the App's features (saving, editing, searching recipes, serving-size scaling, and AI-assisted auto-fill)
Authenticating and managing your account
Providing the subscription (ReciPin Premium), confirming your subscription status, and determining free-plan usage limits
Investigating issues and improving the quality and features of the App
Responding to conduct that violates our terms of use

3. Sharing with External Services

The App uses the following external services to provide its features and transmits information to them to the extent necessary.

When you use the AI auto-fill feature, the selected images are sent to Google's Gemini API for analysis. The handling of information by these external services is governed by each company's own privacy policy.

Except where necessary to provide the features above or as required by law, the App does not provide or sell user information to third parties.

4. Data Storage and Deletion

Your data is stored on Supabase, linked to your account.
You can permanently delete your account and its associated data (recipes, images, categories, etc.) at any time from My Page → Account → Delete account in the App. Deletion cannot be undone.
When you delete an account that uses Sign in with Apple, we also revoke the associated Apple token.
Deleting your account also deletes the subscription status we hold. Purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat are retained according to their own policies. To cancel a subscription, use iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription automatically.

5. Analytics and Tracking

The App uses Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used. This is solely for the purpose of improving the App's quality and features by us.

We do not display advertisements or use data for advertising purposes.
We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
We do not collect the advertising identifier (IDFA).
Usage data is not linked to your account (analysis is done using a device-level identifier).

For these reasons, the App does not constitute "tracking" under App Tracking Transparency (ATT), and no tracking-permission dialog is shown.

6. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

This Policy may be revised in response to changes in law or the addition of features. If there are significant changes, we will notify you within the App or on the page where the Policy is published.
