These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your use of ReciPin (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. About the App
The App is a personal recipe tool that lets you save, edit, and search recipes, scale ingredient amounts by serving count, and fill recipes in automatically from screenshots using AI.
2. Accounts
You can use the App without creating an account. In that case your data is tied to a session on your device, and it may become unrecoverable if you delete the App, reset your device, or lose it.
Once you create an account, your data is stored with that account and is available on other devices.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
You can permanently delete your account and its data at any time from My Page → Account → Delete account. Deletion cannot be undone.
3. Paid plan (ReciPin Premium)
What is included
ReciPin Premium is an auto-renewing paid subscription. While it is active you get:
No limit on the number of saved recipes.
A higher daily allowance of AI screenshot imports.
Removal of the free plan's lifetime cap on AI screenshot imports.
The free plan limits the number of saved recipes and AI imports. The exact limits are shown in the App and may change as the App and its running costs evolve.
Price, period, and automatic renewal
The available plans (monthly and yearly) and their prices are shown on the purchase screen and on the App Store. Prices vary by region.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
The subscription renews automatically at the same price unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Cancellation
You can turn off auto-renewal at any time in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. If you cancel, Premium features remain available until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds
Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple. Please direct refund requests to Apple Support; we cannot issue refunds directly.
Restoring purchases
If you change devices or reinstall the App, use "Restore Purchases" on the purchase screen or on the Account screen to restore a subscription bought with the same Apple ID. An account is required to purchase, because the purchase has to be tied to your account.
4. AI features
Automatic import from screenshots is produced by AI and is not guaranteed to be accurate or complete. Please review the result before saving.
Images you select for analysis are sent to an external AI service. See the Privacy Policy for details.
AI usage is subject to limits, and the underlying AI model may change without notice.
5. Your content
Recipes, images, and other content you enter into the App remain yours (or the rights holder's).
We handle that content only as needed to provide the App's features: storage, display, search, and AI analysis.
Do not store or use content that infringes the copyright or other rights of third parties.
6. Prohibited conduct
Violating any law or public policy.
Placing an excessive load on the App or its servers, or attempting unauthorized access.
Copying, modifying, or reverse-engineering the App, except where permitted by law.
Circumventing usage limits or other restrictions.
Infringing the rights of third parties.
7. Changes, interruption, and discontinuation
We may change the App, or interrupt or discontinue it. If we discontinue the paid plan, we will give notice in the App or on this website beforehand.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is", without warranty of fitness for a particular purpose or of uninterrupted, error-free operation.
We are not liable for damage arising from network failures, outages of external services, or the condition of your device.
Data lost because you deleted it, deleted your account, or lost an anonymous session cannot be recovered.
Where we are found liable, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the preceding 12 months.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms as laws or features change. We will give notice of material changes in the App or on this page. Continuing to use the App after a revision means you accept the revised Terms.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance for any dispute relating to the App.
